Live: Millions told to evacuate as Typhoon Shanshan pummels Japan

Japan has been hit by one of its strongest typhoons in decades, dumping torrential rain across the country’s southern regions on Thursday (Aug 29).
Typhoon Shanshan made landfall on the southern island of Kyushu on Thursday morning. Millions of people have been ordered to evacuate.
